How to Help Stop Bullying-For Real!!

Everyone knows bullying happens daily, but how many people actually would help stop it?  No one likes to be bullied, but everyone thinks it's cool when they watch it happen.  Maybe you want to be the person to stop the bullying.  Wanna know what to do? Follow these simple steps:

1.  Be friends with the person being bullied.  Tell them it doesn't have to happen to them. Say they need to tell a teacher.
2.  If the person being bullied doesn't tell a teacher, you do.
3.  Stay with the person being bullied at all times, and try to get others to join you. Bullying is less likely to happen if someone is around.
4.  Encourage the bystanders to speak up.  If they won't, ask them how they would feel if their role and the person being bullied was switched.  Wouldn't they want  someone to speak up?
5.  Start your own Bullied Support Group at your school.  I started the OMS Bullied Support Group.  You can start one by taking the name of your school(ex. Ocoee Middle School), using only the initials(ex. Ocoee Middle School), and making that the beginning of the name(ex. OMS Bullied Support Group).  Get people to join, and hold meetings before school, after school, or during lunch.
6.  Make a website and email address for your Bullied Support Group.

If you follow these simple steps, you may end the bullying!  Email me at TeensAgainstBullying@hotmail.com if you do any of these 6 steps and let me know how it works!  This is the email address for the OMS Bullied Support Group.
